Prominent law firm Hance Scarborough LLP to office in TBA Headquarters

The Texas Bankers Association (TBA) is proud to announce Hance Scarborough LLP, a firm that represents and counsels clients in matters involving regulatory and public policy law, will soon house their Austin offices in the new TBA headquarters building in downtown Austin.

With existing locations in Austin, Katy and Washington, DC, Hance Scarborough's decision to occupy space in the TBA building reflects their commitment to serving clients across Texas and beyond. Occupancy by Hance Scarborough is anticipated in the Fall of 2024.

Hance Scarborough has provided regulatory and public policy representation to its clients in Austin and Washington DC since its founding in 1994. Former Texas Congressman/State Senator/Railroad Commissioner and Chancellor Kent R. Hance, former Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s Chief of Staff Logan Spence, longtime experienced lobbyist Cheri Huddleston, and former Senator Lucio’s Chief of Staff Louis Sanchez lead Hance Scarborough’s Texas lobby practice. Former Texas Congressmen Pete Olsen and Jim Turner and  State Rep. Stan Gerdes are key members of Hance Scarborough’s Washington D.C. team of experienced government relation professionals. Michael Woodward and Jay Stewart head up the firm’s regulatory services section in Austin with over 70 years of experience providing representation before State and Federal agencies focusing on environmental and energy issues.

“As we envisioned our new building, we aimed to create a premier facility for esteemed organizations," stated TBA President & CEO Chris Furlow. "Hance Scarborough exemplifies excellence, and we are thrilled to welcome them to their new home.”

“Innovation, experience and availability for our clients to directly connect with Texas decision makers ensures that their interests come first. The TBA’s vision and leadership in developing such a beautiful, one-of-a-kind building overlooking the state Capitol and Governor’s Mansion perfectly fits our firm’s vision for continuing to successfully advocate for our clients in Texas,” said Chancellor Kent Hance.

Located at the corner of 10th and Lavaca Streets across from the Governor’s Mansion, the Texas Bankers Building offers convenient access to the Capitol, medical center, University of Texas and Central Business District. The facility entails approximately 100,000 square feet of commercial office and retail space, a top floor event room and rooftop amenity deck, and also provides stunning views of the Capitol, the hill country and Austin’s cityscape.  For more information, visit www.tbabuilding.com.
