Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Civil Relief Act

With certain exceptions, the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Civil Relief Act prohibits the foreclosure of property for nonpayment of debt during a person’s period of military service or within three months thereafter where (i) the real property was owned by the person in military service at the commencement of the period of military service (and is still so owned) and (ii) the debt was incurred prior to such person’s period of military service.
